NSBE Jr. Chapter Highlights - June 2008

This month's featured chapter is from Pittsburg, California. The East Bay NSBE Jr. chapter hails from Region 6. They have become an involved NSBE Jr. chapter and have been rewarded by being one of the first NSBE Jr. chapters (and the first chapter highlighted from Region 6) showcased on the NSBE Jr. Chapter Highlights page.

Meetings are held on Saturdays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Pittsburg High School, 250 School St. Rooms 300, 301, 302 and our membership of 48 include K - 12 students.  For exact meeting dates, please contact at advisor@EastBayNSBEJr.org.  Also, check the calendar regularly for updates on meetings and other activities.

The the above powerpoint file (please click picture to download) documents a recent award ceremony after weeks of Lego Mindstorm 2.0 Robotics Workshops facilitated by Michael Redman-AE (also our webmaster), San Francisco Chapter, assisted by Andre Wright-AE President SF Chapter, and volunteer engineers (husband and wife) Kyle and Aileen Kondo.  It also highlights Purdue Summer Engineering Workshop and University of California San Diego COSMOS Acceptances for two East Bay NSBE Jr. Members.

 



Showcase Your Chapter

The PCI Department wants you to send in your chapter highlights to showcase them for all of NSBE to see!!


To apply send in your information to pci@nsbe.org .Once information is received please allow two weeks before it appears on the website. Your chapter will be showcased for one month. Please provide the information below.

To be eligible for the NSBE Jr. Showcase applicants must:

  • Be an ACTIVE NSBE Jr. Chapter
  • Be paid NSBE Jr. members
  • Must highlight chapter or student accomplishments
  • May showcase a program given by chapter
  • Must release information to the general public for display
  • No last minute submissions will be accepted
